I got into e FireFighter course
and
i didnt expect it to be THIS tough.
1st day was HELL, as expected.
i've conditioned with some of e trainin
bt some still are nt dealt with
doin push-ups are fine.
bt.
in e course,
they ask us to go down & hold that position, body & knees nt touching e ground
until they say "Up" & we have to put our butts up makin a V shape.
Holding that position is bloody tough.
it's only e 1st week
they say that its gonna get tougher every time... ><
e word ENDURE is easier said than done.
Bt, a speech by one of our superiors gave me e confidence & change my mindset abt e trainin.
He said
" If u feel like givin up, look ard u & u can see that the other trainees are goin through e same thing as u are.. & some of them who are weaker than u are nt givin up. So there's no reason for u to do so. "
(somethin like that) lol
that really boosted myself up.
coz i noe that there are some of them who are weaker than me (no offence)
bt they arent givin up at all.
i sincerely salute & respect them!
& am ashamed of myself whenever i feel like givin up.
im actually lookin forward to next week.
that's if im alr recoverd frm my flu.
i dowanna get an MC.
if it's light duty, at least i can still be there to watch e lessons.
if i dont get through this 3 mnths of HELL, and i have to re-course for another 3 mnths,
im ok with it.
coz , i'll be tougher & more than ready aft that !
Im nt sure abt e theory & practical tests, bt my concern nw is abt my IPPT (napha test)
Last time i could do ard 40+ situps with ease,
nw only 39.
Shuttle run frm 9.56 secs , to 10.2.
My 2.4km.... my stamina aint that good.
Pull-up, in FireFighter course, gettin a Bronze is still a Fail.
soo i have to do at least 8 pull ups!
currently only 4. -___-
gotta rest more & hope to be fully fit by monday.
i aint a quitter.
